This page is devoted to Greyhound dogs that are rescued
from the racetrack. Each year, tens of thousands of these gorgeous dogs end
their racing career at the track. Most are put down. There are many volunteer "rescue" groups that search
out individuals and families who would like to adopt a retired racer.
The group we belong to is GLOHW.
Be sure to visit their website! When the dogs come from the racetrack,
they are bathed, cleaned, then
neutered and fully checked out by a veterinarian. |
